Egg White Omelette with Spinach, Chive and Tomato

We went for brunch on a Saturday. They don’t take reservations, but none are really needed. The space is big enough that even when there is a queue, it’s pretty short. What I do like about this place is that they have an infinite number of breakfast and brunch options. Whatever you are looking for, they have. The downside is that nothing is really fantastic.

We ordered the egg white omelette with spinach and chive (no mushrooms) and despite asking for less oil (it’s very oily), it still came out a bit oily. Also, the vine tomatoes are pretty drenched in oil, but I actually did know before going, but forgot to ask for fresh tomatoes instead. Flavor wise, this omelette does not compare to many other omelettes I’ve had. It wasn’t seasoned, didn’t have a great texture, and was quite rubbery. Also, it was pretty cold when it was brought out.

Health Nut Bowl

We also tried the health nut bowl, which was granola (rude health brand) topped with yogurt and fresh fruit. I wish the yogurt had been full fat greek-style yogurt instead of low fat, but it was perfectly good tasting. Nothing special.

The atmosphere is nice – open, light, earthy – and the service is not bad, but the food doesn’t really pack a punch. Perhaps if you’re in the area it’s a safe bet, but nothing to seek out.
