Places like this are always a fun visit. They’re meant to be lighthearted and bring out the inner kid in people, so go when you’re in the mood for it.

Kellogg’s NYC is a cereal bar open from early morning to late night. They have about 20 Kellogg’s cereals to choose from and about 40 toppings to add. You can mix any five cereals and toppings for the standard price ($6) or if you want to mix an unlimited number, it’s $9. You can get five cereals or 3 cereals and 2 toppings or 1 cereal and 4 toppings or whatever combination you would like.

After choosing your five, you choose your milk: whole, skim, soy, or almond (though I think you can opt for chocolate milk, too, despite it not being on the menu).

Cereals include all of the classic Kellogg’s ones like Corn Flakes, Honey Smacks, Special K, Rice Krispies, Cracklin’ Oat Bran, Apple Jacks, etc.

Toppings are pretty awesome. You can choose from fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, etc.) to nuts (hazelnuts, pecans, etc.), to purely fun stuff like yellow cake mix, instant espresso (which makes your milk taste like coffee!), pop tart crumble, and lemon zest.

Once you submit your order at the counter, you’re given a locker number and when your order is ready, you go pick it up from the locker with your number on it. It’s all fun.

If you don’t want normal cereal, you can also choose to pick cereals and toppings to put into an ice cream sundae or milk shake instead.

They also have coffees, teas, hot chocolate, and a few snacks like a toasted pop tart or a rice krispie treat.

It’s a fun time and I’d absolutely recommend giving it a try. Kids will love it and go crazy, but all the adults in the cafe (us included) were having a great time, too.
