Norikoh has great sushi and Japanese food. Great ambiance. Great service. Totally recommend.

They serve traditional (and special) sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and Japanese entrees (noodles, teriyaki, katsu). Some entrees are a bit pan-Asian rather than actually Japanese, like the pad thai and the bibimbap.

Norikoh also offers some dishes that are geared towards people focused on healthy eating, like a multi grain option for the sushi and a multi grain veggie fried rice. I have never seen either of those before anywhere. Usually, you have the option for brown rice sushi and it’s always just as terrible as it sounds. But this multi grain intrigued me, so I had to order one roll with multi grain and another with the classic white.

We also tried the kimchi fried rice, substituting extra veggies instead of bacon and asked for the soft fried egg on top to be cooked well done.

The sushi rolls were really quite delicious. The ingredients were fresh and cut well, the white rice was proper, tasty sushi rice, and the multi grain option was super interesting. Way better than brown rice. And also just a novel idea in general. I would totally get either again (though honestly, nothing can actually beat regular white rice sushi).

The kimchi fried rice came with kimchi, peas, corn, onions, carrots, Asian greens, and broccoli. So flavorful and the kimchi doesn’t overpower the dish. Not spicy, but lots of spice. The unique twist of adding kimchi was really fun. The dish became more nuanced than normal veggie fried rice and they really pulled it off. The portion was great, too. The one complaint is that the egg was still completely runny (not at all well done), so we didn’t eat it. If we had actually wanted it, we might have bothered to have them cook it more, but we really didn’t.

Our server was super patient and friendly, and actually had answers to our questions, as well as her own opinions. The manager was also very friendly and welcoming.

I have a lot of confidence in this place, so I’d branch out and try other things. And for sure, this is a place worth going back to many times.
