Reginella
Reginella

We went twice, the first time was definitely better than the second. Still a solid place overall, but not as great as we originally thought.

Second Visit:

This time around it was a lot more mediocre. Less Neapolitan style, more normal pizza. We ordered the marinara and the Reginella, lightly done, and definitely got something not lightly done. It was pretty crispy and dark. We tried to order desserts after, but they were out of several things. We tried to get a muffin from their brunch bakery menu, but were told that menu is unavailable (we went during brunch time). It was kind of weird.

Given the amazing amazing Neapolitan pizzas in this city, I would not go back here. It was better the first time, but even then, not top of the line.

I will say, though, that the Reginella is definitely solid. I would recommend going with this option if you do end up coming here.

First Visit:

We went on a Saturday for lunch time around 1:30. There were a decent amount of people, but no need for a reservation. It was a warm day, so the doors were open and you could sit outside. There was a street fair going on the street, which made it nice to people watch.

Numero 28The servers are friendly, but don’t bother you too much. Water bottles on the table, so you don’t have to constantly ask for a refill. Their pizza is actually a bit salty.

We ordered two 14″ Margherita Plain Cheese pizzas. Why didn’t we get the 18″ to split? Because you really do get more for two 14″s than an 18″ and are only paying a few dollars more. Good option if you’re hungry. Otherwise, I’m sure the 18″ will do you just fine for two people.

The pizzas were pretty good. Note that for the “plain cheese” margherita, they use grated mozzerella and not the chunky buffalo mozzerella you get with the Reginella or more pricey forms of the margherita. Definitely something to keep in mind as the grated cheese isn’t the best.

And depending on your crust preference, you may want to ask for the pizza a bit more lightly done. We did that and were able to eat the entire crust. Many people left their crust because it was too overdone. Note: Cash Only.
