Olio e Piu

First, I have to say that the ambiance here is great. It’s always crowded on weekend nights (and maybe other times, too, but I haven’t been any other time). Ample outdoor seating, which is just so ideal for summer. The inside is great, too, but I wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to eat outside in such a vibrant location when the weather permitted. Sitting outside is also great for people watching here because the neighborhood is bustling.

Second, the food is great. We usually get the margherita pizza and the pizza rossa, lightly done. It did actually come lightly done, which was great, so the crust was soft and uncharred, but still cooked.

The service was great, too. We’ve called last minute to see if they could squeeze us in for outdoor seating and by the time we arrived a table (the last outdoor table) was sectioned off for us. We were seated promptly and the waiter was attentive throughout.

Great place and definitely worth going to just to sit outside and have good Italian food. I would like to try the pasta from here, but the pizzas are worth getting again for sure.
