Mixed Vegetable, Avocado and Cucumber Sushi Rolls and Tempura Nigiri

We made reservations for a Friday evening, which is highly recommended, if not entirely necessary. This restaurant has a take away branch right across the street. We’d been here before and previously ordered both sushi and noodles and returned to do the same again. When we arrived, though, we were told that due to the fact they were so busy, the restaurant no longer offered hot foods (noodles, curries, etc.). Now, apparently, those can only be ordered from the take away shop across the street. What a disappointment and definitely prohibitive of returning.

Nonetheless, we were there, so we ordered a bunch of sushi. I do think their sushi is good, though I will say we only ordered vegetarian sushi, so I cannot vouch for the fish/seafood. The service is great, everyone is friendly and attentive. No one was rude at all and we dealt with 3 different waiters.

We ordered two cucumber rolls, an avocado roll, a mixed vegetable roll, and five pieces of tempura nigiri (chef’s choice). The tempura nigiri consisted of two sweet potato, one eggplant, one green pepper, and one zucchini.

Pham Sushi (2)All in all, this place is solid, but nothing to go out of your way for. Their menu online has not been updated, so keep in mind that despite what it says, they won’t have any hot food items except at their takeaway place.
