Games at the Uncommons

This place is really great and unique. I’ve seen other coffee shops that have a few games you can play while you’re there, but this is on a completely different scale.

You pay $5 per person for an unlimited amount of games for the entire day. You can keep one game for hours or you can play 10 games in a few hours. You can also buy coffee drinks, juices, sodas, pastries (cookie, croissant, muffin, donuts), and snacks (goldfish, chips, cereal, candy).

We went on a Saturday around 3 pm and the place was packed, but we only waited about 10 minutes for a table for 2. Throughout the afternoon, the wait time grew, particularly for larger parties. Groups come and stay for hours and they don’t rush you at all, so wait time could vary substantially.

We didn’t have any particular games in mind and we just asked the staff for suggestions. They were so helpful in picking out and explaining games to us. We loved the games we played. Now I will say that this place has a bit of a specific crowd (some more traditional gamers), but because they have a huge variety of allll kinds of games, we had a blast.

We stayed about 4 hours and played 4 different games. Perfect because it was raining outside the whole time. The table next to us was on a first date, which I thought was a good idea. They seemed to have fun. Another table was a father and son. Most were friend groups, though.

We got a pumpkin pie cappuccino (really good), a cortado, and a croissant. The croissant was delicious. I asked that they warm it up, which they did, and it was great. They have a clean bathroom as well and accept credit cards. Will totally go back.
