Who We Are
Asena and Kreg. We are two urban adventurers who are lucky enough to be able to live in some of the best cities in the world (New York and London), and we insist on taking advantage of the wonderful experiences available within these cities. We have “daylighted” as lawyers, while spending any free nights and weekends exploring each city through good food, fun activities, and unique experiences. We love food and exploring other cultures through cuisine. We love having fun, learning new things, and having new experiences. We love travelling to as many new cities as we can, and we consider the world our playground.
Our Mission
We believe that it is a tremendous privilege to live in a big city like New York or London. Though city life is not for everyone, we think that those who live in a city should take advantage of all it has to offer. Cities are not just crowded, polluted, traffic-ridden, impersonal concrete jungles – they are melting pots of cultures, foods, ideas and styles. They can broaden horizons, foster creativity and innovation, and bring communities together. We believe there is nothing better for a city dweller or visitor to do than get out and actually experience it: see new things, eat new foods, check out performances and art, learn, and have fun and unique experiences.
But isn’t dining out and having fun in the city expensive? It can be, but not the way we do it. At the Urban Scoop, we will show you how to have a million dollars worth of food and fun on a shoestring budget. Even if you can’t afford the pearls, the world can still be your oyster.
